Meet Renova Energia

Founded in 2001, Renova Energia is a Brazilian company of renewable energy generation operating at wind, small hydroelectric plants, and solar matrices. Since 2009 its activities have been heavily centered on wind power projects, segment in which it is a pioneer in Brazil and it has been the company’s main business.

One of its outstanding differentials is the qualification to operate in an integrated way, prospecting, developing, implementing, and operating its projects.

It was also the first company in the renewable energy sector to have its shares listed on the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3 – Brasil Bolsa Balcão).

Corporate Governance

Renova Energia is listed in Level 2 of Corporate Governance of the B3 – Brasil Bolsa Balcão, aligned with the best practices of the Brazilian and international market, observing norms and standards that promote sustainable development, respect for the environment and the adoption of a business plan that it believes to be solid and profitable.

Its activities are subject to a set of federal, state, and municipal laws, decrees, regulations, and resolutions relating to environmental management and environmental protection.

Committees

Renova Energia has been improving its corporate governance model. Its management adopts a set of mechanisms created to promote greater interaction between the Board of Directors and the executive board, providing greater transparency and agility to strategic decision-making.
